Reading Chest is a book rental service providing children’s school reading books delivered to your door. It’s ideal for 4 to 9 year olds who are learning to read.
All parents want to be involved in their children’s reading but it is hard to get the right books. Reading Chest will provide you with a constant supply of inspiring reads tailored to your children’s needs, bridging the gap between home and school, especially during the holidays.
Your rental books will be delivered to your door. Simply return them in the prepaid envelope and await your new books. What could be easier?Working with the existing logo and characters as a starting point, we designed each page template in turn paying particular attention to the workflow of the user in order to give them an easy process from logging on, to signing up, to ordering their first books.
The next step was for our technical partners to develop an easy to use, bespoke, automated administration system for the staff at Reading Chest to easily manage user accounts and orders, keep track of stock levels, manage the content of their website and to create their own email marketing campaigns.
We even developed an automated bar code system that generates and prints barcodes for each book in stock, and allows the staff to scan books in and out which updates stock levels automatically (dead clever stuff).
The final stage was to design and create some print work and advertising to promote the business offline which will include brochures, sticker charts and stickers for kids and information packs for schools and parents, as well as some great print ads!
