Here at me & alan we think kids are the future, so we were over the moon when Denise Harland (headteacher) asked us to work with Wingrove Primary School in Newcastle.
Wingrove is a really modern multi cultural primary school, it has great facilities including an allotment and a pets corner! How cool?
We loved the fact that the kids had designed the logo, but with it being embroided this didn’t allow for the logo to be used easily, so we created a hand drawn version, that can be used for any future materials, including web and print work, that retains the childlike quality of the original.
We've now finished their new prospectus too, and we have to say, we're over the moon with the finished result!
The prospectus not only looks amazing, but it's going to be really practical for the school too. All of their key information is set in the main prospectus, and we've made a little pocket at the back to house a4 sheets, so that they can change other information to be really up to date. To help with this we also set them up word templates, so everything should look really smart and consistent.
The font we created really came into play with the printed materials. It looks fantastic alongside the great photography and bold primary colours.
We were so excited to get up to the school for the photoshoot, all of the kids were fantastic, and so well behaved!
A huge thanks to Dan Prince for all of his hard work on this one... the photo's look fantastic!
