We are a Newcastle based design agency, that creates beautiful things for the web, print, and of course, really great branding.
me & alan was started with a belief that we can create fantastic work - without being exclusive, or pretentious. We’re down to earth people, and think that really reflects in the work we produce, and how we are to work with.
We want to build great relationships with our clients... be there for them when they need us, offer constant support, and make sure we’re doing everything we can to create something fantastic for them, and more importantly, their customers!
In our day to day, we work with some fantastic companies, and even better people.
We also work alongside some fantastic suppliers, who deal with all of the things we don’t! Our friends work in P.R. & marketing, photography, technical development and print.
We’re approachable, easy to talk to, and most importantly, easy to get in touch with! - We’ll always respond to emails quickly and be on the end of the phone when you need us. You can come and see us any time too - our door is always open!
Throughout your project, you’ll always speak to the people actually doing the work, so there’s no confusion, and no middle man - It just makes life that much simpler. You’ll also never be billed for anything outside of the quote without approving the work, so there’s no nasty surprises.
What else do you do?
Although we specialise in branding (as well as logos and identities) & website design, we also offer other key services, including the design & build of e-newsletters, client managed e-newsletter systems, printed material including stationery, flyers & brochures as well as flash animation & full flash websites.
Who’s Alan though?
Alan, used to be Alex’s nickname. With questions like “what are me & alan doing?” and statments such as “me & alan going for lunch” were common place, and it just seemed to stick!
Do you have a brochure I could have?
Funny you should ask! We do, and we’d love to send you one. Just let us know who you are, and where you’d like it to go, and we’ll pop one in the post!
Anything else?
Yep! We’d love to tell you we can do anything, (yesterday) but we’re really not the kind of people who will take on a job that we’re not confident that we can do, manage or complete. We just don’t like saying yes, then letting people down.
One thing we don’t do at me & alan is speculative work - we truly believe that speculative design (or pitching) is a really damaging process to the design industry as well as to our clients, and choose not to participate in it.
You will find that most designers have to ramp up their costs vastly to cover the initial ‘free’ bit of work they’ve done. Not pitching helps us keep your costs down, as we’re not doing non paid work for other people when we should be looking at your project!
So far, our portfolio and ‘approachable-ness’ has been enough for all of our clients to take the plunge! We strongly believe our work speaks volumes, and our clients agree.
